  • Introduction: The 2022 Harvard International Economics Essay Contest is jointly sponsored by the Harvard Undergraduate Economics Association (HUEA) and the Harvard College Economics Review (HCER). Open to high school students of any year, this essay competition is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate writing proficiency and understanding of economic theory. Competitors must use economic theory and real-world examples to construct a convincing argument. The 2022 dissertation includes four themes, see https://www.thehuea.org/hieec for details.
  • Competition Format: Choose one of the four 2022 Essay Questions given by HIEEC to write an essay.
  • Competition Requirement: Word count is a maximum of 1,500; references must be in Chicago or APA format; only first submission will be accepted, and the only accepted document formatting is PDF.
