Class Introduction

The course will provide students with access to ACT prep materials, weekly full-length practice ACT tests, and lessons in English, Mathematics, Reading, Science, and Writing. The course is taught by experienced instructors who will guide students through the test-taking process, providing strategies and tips for success. The class will focus on building the skills necessary to perform well on the ACT, including time management, test-taking strategies, and content review. The instruction will be tailored to meet the needs of each student.

Outcome

After completing the course, students are expected to reach the following goals:

  • Increased knowledge and understanding of the ACT exam format and content
  • Improved test-taking strategies and time-management skills
  • Increased confidence and readiness for the actual test
  • Access to ACT prep materials and weekly full-length practice tests

Feedback

Students and their parents will receive brief feedback after each class regarding the student’s general participation in class. Students will also receive feedback on graded assignments via email. At the end of the course, the student will receive a final report card, which thoroughly speaks to their overall participation in the course, including major assignments.
