Competition Details
1. Introduction
European Economics Olympiad (EEO), established in 2016 by the Institute of Economic Education (Czech Republic). It’s designed for high school students to build economic thinking, logical reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
2. Competition Details
- Date: December 3, 2023, 14:00–15:20 (80 minutes)
- Format: Individual written test, 50 multiple-choice questions, full English paper
- Mode: Online & Onsite (exam centers across China)
3. Preliminary Round Awards
There are individual and school awards:
Individual:
- National Honor Award: National Top 5%
- High Distinction: National Top 15%
- Distinction: National Top 25%
- Outstanding Award: National Top 35%
- Credit Award: Regional Top 20% in region (excluding national awards)
All award winners will be invited to participate in National Round
School:
Top 5 students’ scores combined for school ranking (schools with <5 students excluded)
- Gold: National Top 10%
- Silver: National Top 25%
- Bronze: National Top 35%
All team award winners also qualify for the National Round.
