We’re proud to celebrate an exciting achievement by one of our Aralia students, who earned a Bronze Award in the 2026 Queen’s Commonwealth Writing Competition (QCWC)! 🎉
This international recognition is a meaningful milestone for our student, reflecting their ability to communicate ideas through English writing in a highly competitive international setting. Beyond language proficiency, writing competitions like QCWC invite students to think critically about the world around them, develop their own perspectives, and express complex ideas with clarity and creativity.
About The Queen’s Commonwealth Writing Competition
Organized by the Royal Commonwealth Society, the Queen’s Commonwealth Writing Competition has been running since 1883, making it one of the world’s longest-running international writing competitions for schools. Receiving recognition in a competition with such a long history is an achievement worth celebrating.
The 2026 theme, “Common Ground: Better Together,” encouraged young writers to explore the connections between people and communities, and how collaboration can help us tackle shared challenges.
Participants selected one of the official prompts and submitted an original piece of writing in English, with a limit of 1,000 words. They could express their ideas through a variety of forms, including short stories and poetry.
