Competition Details

1. Eligibility
This competition is open to any young writers aged 13-18.

2. Introduction
Myths help us interpret the world and find our place within it. Greek myths, in particular, captivate diverse audiences because they ignite the imagination and encourage personal interpretation. Students will delve into classic mythology and craft original short fiction of 300-1000 words.

3. Results
Winners will be announced in July!

4. Prizes

The three winning stories will be available through the Center for Fictoin’s Short Story Dispenser located in their Bookstore and will also be published on The Center for Fiction website. Winners will receive a Bookstore Gift Card and a Center for Fiction Tote Bag.

  • First Place: $100 Bookstore Gift Card and CFF tote bag
  • Second Place: $75 Bookstore Gift Card and CFF tote bag
  • Third Place: $50 Bookstore Gift Card and CFF tote bag
