The River of Words (ROW) competition, run by the Center for Environmental Literacy at Saint Mary’s College of California, is a unique platform that combines art, poetry, and environmental awareness. Established in 1995 by former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Hass and writer Pamela Michael, ROW has since become one of the world’s largest youth poetry and art competitions.
