Students will use college-level economic theory and models to analyze the financial impact on the global economy. The economic tutor will provide students with the models and tools necessary to write an economic research paper. The economic research project encourages students to integrate their acquired knowledge of economic theory, phenomenon, data, and policy.

This course aims to discover the complex interactions between Native Americans, Europeans, and Africans in different regions of North America across more than 500 years of history.
The accent reduction class focuses on understanding and strengthening the unique sounds and structures that make up the “neutral” dialect. While there are many dialects throughout America, it is the neutral accent commonly practiced by public speakers and officials. Radio DJs, TV news anchors, and even most Hollywood movie actors use the neutral accent to convey their message to the largest group of Americans possible. By eliminating accents in communication, we can more easily connect to our audience and erase any misunderstandings or unconscious bias from a foreign dialect, whether domestic or international.
This course aims to help students develop strong writing skills by learning to write and revise three essays that are persuasive, argumentative and narrative. Students will learn to write, cite and avoid common mistakes in academic writing. Before starting the writing process, students will also learn how to annotate and take notes to help them write a paper.
This course introduces students to significant movements in literary history. The course will begin with a brief introduction to the study of literature. The bulk of the course functions as a survey of literary movements throughout history, focusing primarily on the Western Canon. Students will learn about the history, background of movements like Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Victorian, Realism, Surrealism, etc. Students will reflect on what they are reading through discussion in class, with their teacher and peers, and writing in biweekly assignments.
This course is designed for students who have already mastered the fundamentals of literature and writing. Through discussions, writing assignments, and close readings of a variety of literary works, students will deepen their understanding of literary analysis, develop their writing skills, and explore the historical and cultural contexts of literature. Students will reflect on what they are reading through discussion in class, with their teacher and peers, and writing in biweekly assignments.
This course is perfect for students who are just starting to learn English or looking to improve their reading and writing skills. Through foundational literary elements, such as narrative, plot, and diction, and engaging discussions and writing assignments, students will learn how to analyze and evaluate literary works, develop their writing skills, and gain a better understanding of the power and impact of literature. Students will reflect on what they are reading through discussion in class, with their teacher and peers, and writing in biweekly assignments.
In this course, students will research, write and deliver their own TED Talk speeches. Students will be able to participate in speech competitions at the high school or university level. Students will build a solid foundation in oral expression and learn how to express themselves confidently and clearly in English.
