The World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC) is an annual English-language debate competition for high school-level teams representing different countries.

Introduction: The World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC) is an annual English-language debate competition for high school-level teams representing different countries. The championship takes place each year in a different country, and in 2021, it will be hosted in Macau. Seventy-five countries have participated at the WSDC since its inception in 1988. Of these, only Australia, Canada, England and the USA have competed in every World Championships. 

For 2023, the World Schools Debating Championship will be hosted in Vietnam. Vietnam WSDC 2023 will be taking pace on July 18-28, 2023.

Eligibility

A member of the nation’s team has to be a full-time student at a secondary school within 6 months of the start of the Championships.
