How to Outline a STEM Research Paper
The format for a STEM research paper differs significantly from an English or history paper. A STEM research outline doesn’t follow the typical introduction, three body paragraphs (with one main point per paragraph), and a conclusion. Science research papers have specifically named sections: Abstract, Introduction, Methods and Materials, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, and Appendix (optional). This guide will help you understand what to include in each section of a STEM research paper outline, especially for a high school science experiment or meta-analysis.
