Competition Details
1. Competition Format
Students (solo or teams of 2) choose a publicly traded company and develop a full stock recommendation (Buy or Sell).
Teams conduct deep research, financial analysis, and may even meet with company management.
The top 100 teams are invited to the Global Youth Investment Summit in NYC, May 2026. The top 100 teams from state/territory events compete in quarterfinals, followed by semifinals (top 24) and finals (top 5).
The summit includes workshops, speakers, games, networking, and more.
2. Submission Details
Each submission must include:
- Written Stock Pitch Report
- PowerPoint Presentation
- YouTube video of the pitch
Students then present and defend their analysis before industry professionals.
3. Timeline
- Registration deadline: February 20, 2026
- Submission deadline: February 20, 2026 (11:59 pm PST)
Summit Dates: May 28–29, 2026
4. Progression
State/Territory Events are judged through submitted materials.
If a U.S. state or country isn’t listed, students can register for the U.S. OPEN or International OPEN Stock Pitch Competitions, respectively. YIS reserves the right to assign students to appropriate events.
5. How to Sign Up
- Log into the MYYIS Portal (create an account if needed).
- Access the calendar and find your state/territory event.
- Register individually (all team members must register).
6. Support Resources
- Preparation Materials: Participants have access to tutorial videos, templates, and guidelines to help them prepare.
- Stock Pitch Prep Night: This event is a Zoom session with Regional Advisory Board Members and judges. The session will cover presentation tips, scoring criteria, and answers to common questions.
