This AP Statistics preview course is designed to introduce the students in the first 3 units of the AP Statistics curriculum (Exploring One-Variable Data, Exploring Two-Variable Data, and Collecting Data). The course covers all the concepts of Descriptive Statistics, Sampling, and Experimental design (32%-45% of the AP Statistics exam), and sets a solid base for the remaining units (Inferential Statistics).
AP Statistics introduces students to fundamental concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing informed conclusions from data. The course revolves around four key themes: exploring data, sampling and experimentation, probability and simulation, and statistical inference.
This AP Calculus AB course builds deep understanding of limits, derivatives, and integrals, matching the pace and rigor of a college-level class.
Pre-Calculus is built on concepts of trigonometry, geometry, and algebra in preparing students for the study of calculus. Students focus on modeling, problem-solving, data analysis, trigonometric and circular functions and their inverses, polar coordinates, complex numbers, conics, and quadratic relations.
Geometry introduces students to points, lines, planes, angles, parallel lines, triangles, similarity, trigonometry, quadrilaterals, transformations, circles, and area. Students will apply mathematical concepts and knowledge to solve problems. Students will develop critical thinking and decision-making skills by connecting concepts to practical applications.
Algebra 2 guides students through linear equations, inequalities, graphs, matrices, polynomials and radical expressions, quadratic equations, functions, exponential and logarithmic expressions, sequences and series, probability, and trigonometry.
Algebra 1 introduces students to the foundational concepts of mathematics: variables, algebraic expressions, equations, inequalities, functions, exponent rules and manipulation, polynomials, solving and graphing linear equations, solving and graphing two variable inequalities, solving systems of equations, radicals, word problems, solving and graphing quadratic equations, and factoring. Students will apply math concepts to solve real-world problems. Graphing calculators will be an integral part of all instruction.
