Class Introduction

Many top colleges require AMC scores as part of their college application process. The AMC 8 Preparation Class will close any gaps in knowledge required for the AMC 8 exam, in addition to discussing test strategies for taking the exam. The focus is on approaches and methods via examples and exercises in the textbooks, in addition to working on exam problems from past years. The final exam will be a timed test, simulating an actual AMC 8 exam.

  • Master key mathematical concepts such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, number theory, and counting & probability.
  • Improve problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking.
  • Be familiar with the AMC 8 exam structure through practice tests.
  • Achieve score improvements and higher placements in the AMC 8 competition.
  • Establish a solid foundation for future math competitions like AMC 10 and AMC 12 through advanced problem-solving skills and mathematical knowledge.

Students and their parents will receive brief feedback after each class regarding the student’s general participation in class. Students will also receive feedback on graded assignments via email.
