Class Introduction
AP Biology Prep course is a class designed to prepare students for the AP Biology exam. The course covers the core scientific principles, theories, and processes that govern living organisms and biological systems. Additionally, the course includes a strategy component focused on preparing students for the multiple-choice portion of the AP Biology exam.
Outcome
After completing the course, students are expected to reach the following goals:
- Understand the core scientific principles, theories, and processes that govern living organisms and biological systems
- Familiarity with the format and content of the AP Biology exam
- Strategies and techniques for effectively answering multiple-choice questions
- Practice with sample exam questions and materials
- Improved critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Feedback
Students and their parents will receive brief feedback after each class, via Teachworks, regarding the student’s general participation in class. Students will also receive feedback on graded assignments via email. At the end of the course, the student will receive a final report card, which thoroughly speaks to their overall participation in the course, including major assignments.
