Class introduction
Throughout the course, students will engage in a variety of learning activities, including interactive conversations, readings, writing assignments, and other exercises designed to enhance their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Chinese. These activities will assist students in building a solid understanding of the Chinese language and culture, as well as developing their ability to communicate effectively in Chinese.
In addition to the course content, students will also receive comprehensive test preparation resources, such as practice exams and review materials. These resources aim to help students feel confident and prepared for the AP Chinese Language and Culture exam.
Outcome
- Understand the strategies and knowledge necessary to attain the target score on the AP Chinese Language and Culture exam.
- Develop proficiency in reading, translating, speaking and analyzing Chinese
- Develop the ability to comprehend questions quickly and respond correctly using the skills and strategy practiced during this course
- Gain a deep understanding of Chinese culture, traditions, and customs, enhancing cultural competence alongside linguistic proficiency.
Feedback
Students and their parents will receive brief feedback after each class regarding the student’s general participation in class. Students will also receive feedback on graded assignments via email.
