Class introduction
Throughout the course, students will engage in a variety of learning activities, including in-depth analysis and discussion of the works, as well as writing assignments and other activities designed to improve critical thinking and communication skills. These activities will help students build a solid understanding of the cultural, historical, and literary context of each work, and improve their ability to analyze and interpret written and spoken Spanish.
In addition to the course content, students will also receive comprehensive test preparation resources, including practice exams and review materials. These resources will help students feel confident and prepared for the AP Spanish Literature and Culture exam.
Outcome
- Know how to earn their desired score on the AP Spanish Literature and Culture exam
- Develop proficiency in reading, translating, speaking and analyzing Spanish
- Develop confidence in their ability to understand and analyze the language
- Develop the ability to comprehend questions quickly and respond correctly using the skills and strategy practiced during this course
Feedback
Students and their parents will receive brief feedback after each class, via Teachworks, regarding the student’s general participation in class. Students will also receive feedback on graded assignments via email. At the end of the course, the student will receive a final report card, which thoroughly speaks to their overall participation in the course, including major assignments.
